“Sir, we would like to see Jesus” (John 12:20). Just before His crucifixion, the Jews were having a feast. People were coming for different reasons — but a group of Greeks came for one reason. They wanted to see Jesus. And they Did. To this group Jesus opened the purpose of His Mission, His Death, and the salvation now available for anyone who would accept it. Jesus is the solution for our problems today as well.
Jesus as the True Healer and Light of our lives is presented through the healing of the paralytic at the Pool of Bethesda. No matter how fervently the paralytic believed the tradition of the “stirring od the water”, it could never heal him. What he needed was a living connection with Jesus through His Word. Recovery from spiritual blindness, lameness, and paralysis also needs the Living Power of Jesus through His Word
The love of Jesus is presented as healer, restorer, deliverer and the God of giving second (and third, fourth or more) opportunities to be saved. Jesus is coming back soon. How can we accept His “Another Chance” and be ready when He comes.
